Smith Machine Split Squat

  1. Center the bar on the shoulders and stand under the bar in a staggered stance.

  2. Lift the bar and unlock.

  3. Slowly descend until the back knee is 1-2 inches above the ground. If prone to banging the knee into the ground, place a mat or pad in the landing area.

  4. Ascend to the starting position by focusing on the forward leg performing the majority of the work.
