  1. Stand with the feet hip-width apart and a slight bend in the knees.

  2. Lift the medicine ball directly above the head, feeling for the stretch in the abs.

  3. Without delay, immediately change directions, halting the torso at 45 degrees while throwing the medicine ball down.

  4. Catch the medicine ball as it is still in its ascent.
